Dear SJHS parents and guardians:
We hope that this email finds you and your family well and that you had a good spring break!
During this time of uncertainty, we recognize the hard work of students, teachers, and parents. In an effort to minimize the anxiety and stress felt by all, Nebo School District is allowing students a choice regarding how their final grade in each class will be recorded on their transcript for fourth term this year. At the end of the term, students can choose to keep the letter grade recorded in SIS/Aspire OR move to a pass/fail grade. If a student chooses the pass/fail option, letter grades between an A and D- will be recorded as a “P” for pass. A “P” grade will count for academic credit and will not affect the GPA. When we get closer to the end of the term, we will send out information regarding the procedure we’ll follow to gather student requests for the pass/fail option.
**Parents of ninth-grade students: It is important to note that while a “P” does not impact a student's GPA either positively or negatively, college admissions offices and scholarship committees may not look favorably upon a “P” on a high school transcript. Please remember that breakfast and lunch service will change slightly this week. Starting today, breakfast and lunch will only be served from 10:30am - 12:00pm at these Springville schools:
- Brookside Elementary, 750 East 400 South
- Cherry Creek Elementary, 484 South 200 East
- Meadow Brook Elementary, 748 South 950 West
- Springville Junior High, 189 South 1470 East
- Springville High School, 1205 East 900 South
These schools will serve all children aged 0-18, whether they attend school in Nebo School District or not. You can bring your children to SJHS for curbside pick up, or you can go to one of the schools listed above if they are closer to your home.
Please scroll to the bottom of this email for your child’s grades. If you have questions or concerns about any of your child’s classes, I invite you to reach out to those individual teachers.
