Dear SJHS parents and guardians:
I hope that this email finds you and your families well. We only have two more days until Spring Break; teachers will not assign any new material over the break, so hopefully students will get a little bit of a breather. I have encouraged teachers not to check their email over the break, and I would encourage your students to do the same. I will not be sending emails over the break unless there are important announcements that can’t wait until April 13.
Breakfast and lunch service will change slightly after Spring Break. Starting on Monday, April 13, breakfast and lunch will be served from 10:30am - 12:00pm. Starting on April 13, breakfast and lunch will only be available at these Springville schools:
- Brookside Elementary, 750 E. 400 S.
- Cherry Creek Elementary, 484 S. 200 E.
- Meadow Brook Elementary, 748 S. 950 W.
- Springville Junior High, 189 S. 1470 E.
- Springville High School, 1205. E 900 S.
These schools will serve all children aged 0-18, whether they attend school in Nebo School District or not. You can bring your children to SJHS for curbside pick up, or you can go to one of the schools listed above if they are closer to your home.
If you have questions or concerns about any of your child’s classes, I invite you to reach out to those individual teachers. They are much better equipped to answer your questions than administrators or counselors will be; we don’t always know the details or have access to each individual class. If you still need help after communicating with individual teachers, please feel free to reach out! Everyone at SJHS is working hard to give your child a positive experience with online learning, but we also recognize the difficulties that come with not being able to talk to our students in person each day. We miss them and hope they, and you, are doing well.

Dear SJHS students,
We hope that you are doing well! Only one more day until Spring Break; it will be nice to take a little break from online learning next week. Please work hard today and tomorrow, and then log in on Monday, April 13 to start learning again.
We gathered some advice and tips from your teachers about how to be successful in online learning, and the counselors and administrators put together a video to share that advice with you. Please watch: https://youtu.be/6dNPFuCxHoc
Hopefully you were able to attend the first round of teacher Zoom meetings yesterday. I’m sure it was good to see your teachers and be able to talk to them rather than only communicating through email. Teachers will be holding Zoom meetings twice a week, on the same day they give new assignments. You don’t have to attend, but it might be helpful if you have questions or need any help.
On Mondays and Wednesdays, the following classes will hold optional Zoom meetings:
- Band, Choir, and Orchestra at 9:00am
- Science at 10:00am
- English at 11:00am
- Career & Technical Education at 12:00pm
- Drama and Art at 1:00pm
On Tuesdays and Thursdays, the following classes will hold optional Zoom meetings:
- Health and PE at 9:00am
- World Languages / Dual Language Immersion at 10:00am
- Math at 11:00am
- History at 2:00pm
Please check your Canvas and Google Classrooms for the links to each teacher’s Zoom meeting. Every once in a while a teacher may need to hold a meeting at a different time--they will post that time in their Canvas or Classroom.
