Lo! Let the Shakespearian Homeric, plays commence!! Come one and all! To Mrs. Maughan’s room and let the story of King Midas begin!

Mrs. Maughan’s ninth grade English classes are performing plays. They are currently learning about Greek Mythology and personal narratives.

“It is a fun way for students to be directly involved in the stories of the gods and goddesses,” said Ms. Maughan.

Some plays were funny, but others were serious. There was a play about King Midas and his golden touch, and a play about Atlanta and a race to choose a husband.

They all had to write their own scripts and make their own props.

“I like writing,” said Dante Kimber, an ninth grader, “I am awesome.”

If you would like to make plays then hope that you get into Ms. Maughan’s English class.

“My favorite part of this project is seeing the students’ creativity come out!” said Ms. Maughan.
