A fandom is a large group of people that are a fan of something like a T.V. show, video game, books, and/or movies. I asked a couple of people if they are in any fandoms, and if they have any other friends in the fandom.
Sarah Thomson, a 9th grader, says that she was a fan of Pokemon, and it's a game, and T.V. show. ¨The reason I like Pokemon is everything,¨ she said when I asked her what her favorite thing is. I asked her if she has any friends in the fandom, she said that her older cousin, Jakob, is a hardcore fan.
Angela Lopez, an 8th grader, told me she's in the Green Day fandom, which is music. ¨The reason I like the fandom is because they make funny memes.¨ And she doesn't have any friends in the fandom.
Jonny Acevedo, a 9th grader, said that he's in the Marvel/DC fandom. He likes it for the superheroes. I asked him if he had any friends in the same fandom, he told me “my friend, Tommy, is.”
Fandoms are fun, I’m in a fandom, the Supernatural fandom. It’s fun, I like the show itself, and the people in it. I have three other friends, Leah, Jamie, and a family friend, Li. The best thing about fandoms, is you can make new friends with the same interests as you.
