Intramurals

Intramurals is a time after school to come and play sports that you normally would not be able to do. They take place after school in the gym or outside usually on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 2:45 to 3:45, usually, unless there is a basketball game, dance, etc. You can count intramurals for extra credit or make-up if you miss a day in P.E.

According to Mr. Chambers, one of the P.E teachers at SJHS,  about 40 people attend, depending on what the activity is, so you may run into somebody you know.

They usually play whatever they are doing in P.E like basketball, pickleball, outdoor games, etc.

“Intramurals is good in junior high because it gives the kids an opportunity to play sports they normally wouldn’t be able to play. It’s a lot of fun!” said Coach Chambers.

“Intramurals is good because you are able to get an easy good grade if you miss a day,” said Lexi Rogers, an eighth grade student here at SJHS.

Many people enjoy attending intramurals. It is a lot of fun!
