On Friday, May 16th, the last choir concert of the year was held.  “I love all of the songs, but some of my favorites were, ‘There's No Business Like Show Business’ - because I it comes from one of my favorite musicals, Annie Get Your Gun; ‘Mama, I'm a Big Girls Now,’ from Hairspray, because the girls had so much fun doing it; ‘For Good,’ from Wicked, because of the great message of the song, ‘Lion King Medley,’ from Lion King: The Musical, because I have always loved the movie; and ‘Do You Hear The People Sing?’ because it is so powerful!” said Mrs. Utrera, the choir teacher at SJHS.

“I think that the concert went really well, everyone seemed to be really into it and had a good sound!” said Sariah Rencher, an eighth grader at SJHS.

Some of the students favorite songs were “I See the Light,” from Tangled, “Mama I’m a Big Girl Now,” from Hairspray, “For Good,” from Wicked, and the “Lion King Medley,” from Lion King: The Musical.

“My goal is to always have the performers and the audience leave feeling happy and better about life because of our time spent together.” said Mrs. Utrera.
