Learning to Ice Skate

On January 6, 2016, the kids in P.E. had the choice to go on an ice skating field trip to the Seven Peaks Ice Arena and then to the Provo Towne Center to eat lunch afterward. The field trip cost fifteen dollars and the junior high students got a pair of rental skates and skated for several hours. Ms. Gausher, Mr. Parker, and Mr. Chambers, SJHS P.E. teachers, went on the field trip with the students and skated a little bit too.

The students skated for almost two hours, and then were given the choice of playing indoor soccer, broom hockey, or to keep skating for the remainder of the time. After the students finished skating, they went to the Provo Towne Center and ate lunch; they had two hours to eat and walk around the mall. The students left school at 8:15 and returned during seventh period.

According to Kennedy Bird, an eighth grade student at SJHS, she like hanging out with her friends and helping people up when they fell while they were skating.  According to Matt Johnston, an eighth grade students at SJHS, he liked all of it, and he had a great time doing everything.
