Mr. McKell Leaves SJHS

Mr. McKell is a new history teacher here at SJHS. Mr. McKell is transferring schools and leaving SJHS for Payson Jr. High. His students were shocked when he told them on Monday, January 4, 2016. Mr. McKell is a nice, funny and overall good teacher. His students are dreading Thursday, January 14, 2016-- the last day Mr. McKell will be at SJHS. 

Connor Snapp, an eighth grader in Mr. Mckell’s US history class, said, “Mr. McKell is funny and is always nice.” Even though this is Mr. McKell’s first time teaching at SJHS, Connor will miss him, and he wants him to stay. According to Connor, Mr. McKell teaches well, and he is not too strict. 

Gabbie Grimes, another eighth grader at SHJS, who is also in Mr. McKell’s class, said, “Mr. McKell is very nice. He’s easy going and doesn’t give much homework.” According to Gabbie, she is going to miss how nice he is. Gabbie does not want Mr.McKell to leave, and she will miss him very much.

Jace Farr, another eighth grade student,  said, “Mr. McKell is really nice and a super good teacher.”  Jace also added, “Mr. McKell’s test are easy, his personality is awesome, and he really connects with our class.” Jace is so sad he is leaving and wants him to stay because he is one of her favorite teachers.

Lincoln Wright, another eighth grade student in Mr. McKell’s class, said, “Mr. McKell really connects with his students and treats them like friends not students.” Lincoln is also sad that he is leaving and really wants him to stay because he liked Mr. McKell out of all the history teachers. 

According to Mr. McKell, he loves the environment of SJHS and how friendly everyone is. Mr. McKell added, “I also liked how involved and dedicated the teachers are at making sure each student is successful.” Mr. McKell is going to miss his students the most. According to Mr. McKell, he is sad that he has to leave SJHS. Mr. McKell said, “I am nervous to move to Payson, but excited to grow and have new experiences.”
