“She really has a knack for teaching!” said Ms Pina, a seventh grade English teacher, about Ms. McBride. Ms. McBride is an eighth grade English and film studies teacher here at SJHS.

“Springville is a great place because it’s full of great people,” Ms. McBride said. She has been teaching here at SJHS for four years, and she loves it here.

“I love her classes. She’s one of my favorite teachers,” said Bethany Stewart, an eighth grade English student.

According to DeeAnna Jolley, another eighth grader, Ms. McBride is a very positive, happy, and caring teacher.  Ms. McBride loves her students, and is “impressed by how kind, hardworking, fun and funny the students are.” She is an adventure-loving person, and likes camping, hiking, reading, playing her guitar and spending time with friends and family. “I’m pretty sure I have the funniest brothers of all time,” Ms. McBride said.  Ms. McBride goes the extra mile every day to help her students learn to love English, reading and writing. “I actually understand what I’m learning,” said another of her students, Ryan Popham.

“She has an energy that charges the classroom, and she’s good at connecting with us,” said Jenessa Crystal, an English student.“I want them to learn that writing is not so scary,” Ms. McBride said.

Ms. McBride makes an effort to make English, a not-so-scary experience, and to help her students at SJHS have a good time. “She wants every student to feel involved. I’m very impressed with how great of a teacher she is, and how well she prepares students,” said Ms. Pina.

“Ms. McBride is such a good teacher!” DeeAnna Jolley said, “I am very happy she is my teacher.”
