Time for registration at SJHS. Which classes do you want to take?

Submitted by tara.pina on

Springville Junior high students are registering for new classes for next year. What electives did they take? Do they think it would be harder next year?

Amy Robertson, an eighth grader at Springville Junior high school, said that some of the electives she’s taking are foods and peer tutoring. She chose those electives because she signed up for them this year and she really liked them. Another eighth grader at SJHS named Tristin Richmond explained that he signed up for  foods and PE because they were fun and he wanted to do them again. Hondo Quesada, another eighth grader, said he signed up for foods and PE too because they were fun this year. Hailey Gabbitas, a ninth grader at SJHS, said that she signed up for dance, woodworking, and child development because they seem pretty fun and exciting. Another eighth grader at SJHS named Jake Follette explained that he signed up for foods class because you get to make food and he loves food. Tucker Kelsey, an eighth grader, said that he signed up for spanish because he needed the credits and he also took seminary because of his religion. Abi Christenson said that she signed up for health and FFA because she wants to get credits.

Amy said that she thinks it next year will be harder because ninth grade is the grade that counts. Tristin agreed with Amy. Hondo said he thinks it would be harder because there are harder classes. Hailey said that she thinks tenth grade will be harder that ninth because there is more work and a new school. Jake explained that it would be harder because eight is pretty easy but he doesn’t think ninth is. Tucker said it wouldn’t be harder because he gets smarter every year. Abi said she thinks it would be harder because ninth grade actually counts.

If you need help picking out your electives for next year you can always count on your friends and family to give you some ideas, also the counselors can always help too.
