Mr. Rencher, is a teacher at SJHS; he teaches Technology and Engineering to seventh graders as part of the College and Career Awareness program. He teaches Exploring Technology to eighth and ninth graders, last but not least he teaches Introduction to Manufacturing to ninth graders.

According to Cathay Poulsen, a seventh grade student at SJHS, Mr. Rencher puts humor into his teaching, which means his lessons are fun and easy to understand. He is a really good teacher. He is kind, and if you have any problems he takes care of them for you.

According to Mr. Taylor, a computer teacher, Mr. Rencher puts in a ton of hours to make sure his students have a good experience in his class. Mr. Taylor said, “Mr. Rencher is a super nice guy and all the staff like him.”

Mr. Krebs, a math teacher at SJHS, said, “Mr. Rencher is one of the most helpful people I know. He would give you the shirt off his back if you asked him for it. He is a happy person and is easy to talk to. He is a great teacher and knows what he is talking about. He is a good friend.”

According to Mr. Rencher, he had a teacher in high school who suggested teaching and after trying other things out in college, he decided to go back to teaching. According to Mr. Rencher, the funnest part of teaching is seeing the moment when a student “gets it.”

If Mr. Rencher could hold onto one memory forever he said, “besides the times with my family, I would like to remember all the times I have seen students helping one another...and riding my motorcycle.”
