On November 21, 2014 the SJHS second Super Knight Assembly happened. The Super Knight Assembly’s purpose is to spotlight students for doing the school basics which are: being responsible citizens, successful learners, and effective communicators.

According to Mr. VanAusdal, the principal  at SJHS, we have Super Knight Assemblies to celebrate the good things students do. The Super Knight Assembly is centered around the school basics. Teachers nominate students that do those things, then the faculty votes on the selected students-one boy and one girl from each grade.

Zack Jensen, was the seventh grade male Super Knight. According to Zack, he thinks he deserves to be a Super Knight. He feels proud of himself, and it is a big deal to him that he won a Super Knight award. He said he was very happy and shocked when he found out he was a Super Knight. He had no idea that he was going to win it, and he was a little nervous about getting the award.

Kelsie Remington, the seventh grade girl Super Knight, said she deserves to be a Super Knight  because she is awesome. “I feel good about being a Super Knight because people actually notice that I try to be a good student.” She was very surprised when she found out she was a Super Knight.

Grant Gardner, the eighth grade boy Super Knight, said, “ I guess I deserve to be a Super Knight. I get straight A’s and try to be really nice to everyone.” Grant feels good about being a Super Knight. He was very excited and happy about being a Super Knight at our school. “I was surprised, but I know I acted good enough to deserve this.”

Madi Smith, the eighth grade girl Super Knight, said, “ I think I deserved this award because I try really hard, and I help everyone when they need help or I think they need help. It feels good to finally achieve something and have everyone recognize me for it.”  According to Madi, she was very shocked to find out she was a Super Knight.

Cole Monson, the ninth grade boy Super Knight, said, “I deserve to be a Super Knight because I try to follow the rules the school has for us students.” According to Cole, being a Super Knight is cool, and he enjoys knowing other people appreciate him. He was very surprised when he found out he was a Super Knight; he was not expecting it.

Amanda Hall, the ninth grade girl Super Knight, said she feels pretty cool about being a Super Knight. She said she was surprised when she found out about being a Super Knight. “I never thought I would ever be a Super Knight,” said Amanda.
