Ms. Reese is one of the new history teachers. She teaches ninth grade only for six periods. Ms. Reese was born in Walnut Creek California. But she was raised in New Mexico. She then moved to many places including Utah, Kentucky, Indiana, Mexico, back to California, and then back to Utah where she stayed. For college, she started at the University Of Utah, but then ended up at Brigham Young University. In her free time, she likes to sleep, do art, and hang with her family and friends. She has five siblings, four girls and one boy. When asked what some of her favorite things about being a teacher, she answered, “My favorite part about being a teacher is definitely the students. They just make it so much fun.” Which is probably true for every teacher. She loves being a teacher and likes to teach about things that are going on in the world now instead of what happened in the past.
Ms. Hatch was born in Orem Utah. She then moved to St. George when she was ten. Then eventually moved back to Utah. She played rugby in her high school and college years. For college she went to SUU (Southern Utah University). Before she began to teach seventh and eighth grade, she was a lifeguard. She teaches two periods of eighth, and four periods of seventh. Some things she loves to do in her free time, are eating ice cream and watching Netflix. Her favorite thing about teaching is all the students personalities and the inside jokes she has with each class. Although there are a lot of good things about being a teacher, she finds it hard when she cares a lot about each student and seeing how some don’t really care to try.
Our new history teachers are the best! All of their students love having them as a teacher. They are so nice and fun!
