Ms. Hamilton, Teacher and Friend at SJHS

Submitted by tiffanie.miley on

Springville Junior High is blessed to have such a wonderful faculty and staff, teaching them, helping them, and most importantly, being their friend. One of these amazing staff members is Ms. Diane Hamilton, a math teacher at SJHS for students who need additional instruction and help in Pre-algebra and Algebra 1A.

Before starting to work at Springville Junior High eleven years ago, Ms. Hamilton graduated from BYU, and started looking around for a job. “SJHS called me, and here I am,” Ms. Hamilton explained.

Outside of teaching, Ms. Hamilton has many interests such as reading, playing Dr. Mario, watching movies, and hanging out with her friends. She also enjoys animals. “When I was little I used to want to be a vet, but now I’m a teacher and I love it.”

One of Ms. Hamilton’s other interest is American Sign Language (ASL). “I love ASL, I want to try and teach it at SJHS someday,” Ms. Hamilton said.

Just like everyone else in the world, Ms. Hamilton has her own set of dreams she wants to fulfill. “I want to be a school physiologist someday, but for now I am more than happy to be here teaching my fabulous students!” She is currently going to U.S.U. to receive her master’s degree and someday may fulfill that dream.
