SJHS FCCLA chapter takes on regional competition winning gold, silver, and bronze in each event they competed in.

The LIA students met with City Attorney John Penrod, Director of City Development Josh Yoist, Council member Liz Crandall, police department, and fire department.
Last week our ESL class learned about the history of Valentine's Day and various vocabulary words. Today they practiced some writing by making cards to our friends and family.

We hope that you’ve had a good week! Midterm is here, and we will be holding parent-teacher conferences next Thursday, February 17, from 3:30-7:00pm in the gyms. Please stop by and visit with your child’s teachers. If you’d like to help our PTA provide dinner for our faculty, please sign up here.

8th graders in US history got a taste for what life was like in the first permanent British settlement of Jamestown.
Tech Theater 2 class is ready for battle! Check out the Cosplay Arm Bracers they designed and made for the costume unit.
Students in Mrs. Hendrickson’s Exploring Agriculture class learned a little more about the poultry industry by hatching eggs! They created an Egg Development book that illustrated how the chick changes in 21 days.
In honor of National School Counselor Week -- We wanted to give a big shout-out to our counseling department for all that they do for our school!
