Next week is “Be An Ally Week” at Springville Junior High. In the words of our student council: “At SJHS, we believe in being an ally! This can mean being a friend to someone new. This can mean standing up for someone. This can be as simple as holding open a door. Basically, being an ally means treating each other in a way that makes everyone feel welcome, safe, and included at school.” Our student council has planned a fun week to help our students understand what it means to be an ally. Please see the attachment for more information. We hope all of our students will participate!

We have had a great second week of school! It feels like we are really getting into a rhythm and things are running smoothly. As an administration, we are grateful for the flexibility of our students, parents, faculty, and staff; everyone’s efforts in helping us be able to attend school in person each day have really paid off!

We hope that you are enjoying the last few weeks of summer! Thank you for your patience as we are learning all the details about our new iCampus student information system. If you have not yet had a chance to register, please visit our school website for instructions. We wanted to send a list of quick reminders and links to pertinent information all in one place. Please take a look at the information below so you are up to date on all the current information.

Dear SJHS parents and guardians:

Administrators will be available to review fee waivers on August 7, 11, and 12 from 9:00am to 2:00pm. Spanish translation will be available on August 11 and 12 from 10:00am to 2:00pm. If you need additional help in Spanish, please email our Spanish-speaking liaison at taylor.frossard [at] nebo.edu.

It is necessary for each family to apply for a fee waiver annually; last year’s application will not be valid for this school year. Families may qualify for a fee waiver for the following reasons:

Dear SJHS parents and guardians:

We’re getting closer each day to the start of the school year! This summer has been particularly busy with teachers attending many different professional development courses and SJHS faculty and staff making many beginning of the year preparations. As an administration, we have carefully reviewed the reopening plans for Nebo School District. Our school leadership team, made up of one teacher from each department, a counselor, and our administration, met last week to make many school-specific decisions based on Nebo School District’s reopening plan.
