Dear SJHS families:
It’s hard to believe that we are already at midterm! We will hold parent-teacher conferences this Thursday afternoon. We would love to see you! Parent-teacher conferences give the opportunity for parents and teachers to get on the same page and create partnerships that will help our students be more successful as they come to school and learn each day. Other upcoming events:
- Monday, November 14: Boys lacrosse athlete-parent meeting at 7:00pm in the Springville High School Cafeteria. This meeting is for all 9th grader boys who are interested in playing lacrosse at the high school in the spring. The coaches will share information about the program and the activities that will be held before the season starts in March.
- Tuesday, November 15: 8th grade orchestra concert at 7:00pm in the SJHS cafetorium
- Wednesday, November 16:
- Education Support Professionals Day — Thank you to all of the support staff at SJHS! They keep the school running and help take care of all of our students!
- Wrestling vs. Salem Junior High at 3:30 at home
- Our choir will sing the National Anthem at the BYU basketball game. The game starts at 7:00pm on BYUtv.
- Thursday, November 17: Parent-teacher conferences from 3:30 - 7:30pm in the SJHS gyms.
- Friday, November 18: Last day to donate items to the Utah Food Bank drive. As of today, the 8th graders are in the lead!
- Wednesday, November 23 - Sunday, November 27: Thanksgiving Break
Note from our awesome PTA: Thursday, November 17 is parent-teacher conference, and we are looking for some help providing dinner to all of the teachers! We are in need of a few parent helpers, as well as some food items to be donated. Please see the following link with details and ways you can help! Thanks in advance!

¡Es difícil creer que ya estamos en la mitad del período! Tendremos conferencias de padres y maestros este jueves por la tarde. ¡Nos encantaría verte! Las conferencias de padres y maestros brindan la oportunidad para que los padres y los maestros se pongan en sintonía y creen asociaciones que ayudarán a nuestros estudiantes a tener más éxito cuando vengan a la escuela y aprendan todos los días. Si habla español y necesita un intérprete, habrá uno disponible en la conferencia de padres y maestros. Otros eventos próximos:
- Lunes, 14 de noviembre: Reunión de padres y atletas de lacrosse para niños a las 7:00 pm en la cafetería de Springville High School. Esta reunión es para todos los niños de noveno grado que estén interesados en jugar lacrosse en la escuela secundaria en la primavera.
