Our end-of-level testing begins this week for both 8th and 9th graders. Testing security protocols from the state instruct that students should not be able to access their phones during the testing period. For our end-of-level tests, teachers will ask students to put their phones in their backpacks and then put all of their backpacks at the front of the classroom. When the class period is over, students will be able to retrieve their backpacks from the front of the room. We will make announcements over the next few days regarding this testing procedure, but if you could also talk about it with your child, it would be very helpful.
9th Grade Utah Aspire Plus Testing Schedule
- Tuesday, April 26
- 1st period: normal classes
- 2nd and 3rd periods: Utah Aspire Plus Reading Test
- 4th and 5th periods: normal classes
- 6th and 7th periods: Utah Aspire Plus Science Test
- Wednesday, April 27
- 1st period: normal classes
- 2nd and 3rd periods: Utah Aspire Plus Math Test
- 4th and 5th periods: normal classes
- 6th period: Utah Aspire Plus English Test
- 7th period: normal classes
Ninth-grade students will be divided into testing rooms according to their last names. Students should check the lists posted on the main office windows to see which classroom they will be testing in on April 26 and 27.
8th Grade RISE Testing Schedule
- English and Writing: April 28 - May 6 in English classes
- Science: May 2 - May 6 in science classes
- Math: May 9 - 13 in math classes
We look forward to seeing how our students perform on their end-of-level assessments. It has been nice to be back full-time in school this year with more of a sense of normalcy. We are excited to see how much our students have learned! Here are some events for next week:

Nuestras pruebas de fin de grado comienzan esta semana para los estudiantes de 8.º y 9.º grado. Los protocolos de seguridad para los exámenes del estado indican que los estudiantes no deben tener acceso a sus teléfonos durante el período de exámenes. Para nuestros exámenes de fin de grado, los maestros les pedirán a los estudiantes que pongan sus teléfonos en sus mochilas y luego coloquen todas sus mochilas al frente del salón de clases. Cuando termine el período de clase, los estudiantes podrán recoger sus mochilas. Haremos anuncios en los próximos días con respecto a este procedimiento de los días de exámenes, pero si usted pudiera hablar sobre esto con su hijo, sería muy útil.
