Mrs. Fisher
Mrs. Fisher's class

Mrs. Fisher is one of the awesome teachers here at SJHS.

She is currently teaching Chinese at SJHS, but unfortunately, she will not be teaching here next year. She will be moving to India with her family. There she will be teaching 6-8th grade English. She is moving to India because her husband is a diplomat. She has lived in China for 8 years off and on, and she has also lived in Brazil for 2 years. Her favorite part about SJHS is being able to teach jr. high students and being able to see the students learn and grow. And her favorite part about teaching is planning lessons about topics that she loves and finds interesting. The thing she will miss most about teaching at SJHS will be her students. She said that this year has had some trial and error involved with trying to learn how to teach Chinese (she is originally an English teacher). One of the things that Mrs. Fisher did with the Chinese Immersion students this year was plant trees in front of the school for earth day.

Mrs. Fisher said that she will definitely miss the students and also teaching at SJHS. We will miss her too!
