Dear SJHS parents and guardians:

We had a great Be An Ally Week this week! Many of our students participated in daily challenges, making new friends and getting to know new people. Students who participated in the challenges or who were caught being an ally to others received tickets and were entered in a daily drawing. We saw participation increase each day and hope that students were able to internalize the idea that being an ally means treating each other in a way that makes everyone feel welcome, safe, and included at school. We love our students and want them all to truly feel that they are part of the Springville Junior High family.

Dear SJHS students, parents and guardians:

Next week is “Be An Ally Week” at Springville Junior High. In the words of our student council: “At SJHS, we believe in being an ally! This can mean being a friend to someone new. This can mean standing up for someone. This can be as simple as holding open a door. Basically, being an ally means treating each other in a way that makes everyone feel welcome, safe, and included at school.” Our student council has planned a fun week to help our students understand what it means to be an ally. Please see the attachment for more information. We hope all of our students will participate!
