We are thrilled to announce that last night, Mr. Dave Booth was honored as the Teacher of the Year at the school board meeting—a truly well-deserved recognition. Mr. Booth has dedicated his entire 29-year career to inspiring and educating students at Springville Jr. High School.
Renowned for his signature style, Mr. Booth can be spotted daily in his white shirt and purple tie, often topped off with a beanie. This unique look has even become a favorite among students on twin day!
Students hold Mr. Booth in the highest regard. His classroom is a lively hub of musical creativity, where you might find him skillfully conducting the band while simultaneously playing the trumpet or another instrument. His exceptional talents as a band director and music educator have left a lasting impression on countless students, many of whom return to attend band concerts or have pursued careers in music education themselves.
Adding to his charm, Mr. Booth's winter concerts are a highlight of the year, featuring "guest conductors" like Napoleon Dynamite, Darth Vader, and the Grinch. As spring arrives, he joins the infamous teacher band, showcasing his drumming skills and good-natured spirit during the talent show.
Mr. Booth, your dedication, humor, and kindness enrich the lives of everyone at Springville Jr. High School. We are incredibly grateful for your contributions and proud to have you in our community. Congratulations on this well-earned accolade!
