While reading All Thirteen: The Incredible Cave Rescue of the Thai Boys Soccer Team, Ms. Piña decided she wanted her ML 9 English class to have a more hands on experience with what they were reading. As a class, they hiked up Rock Canyon to a cave where they were able to go inside and imagine what the soccer players went through in their harrowing ordeal. They experienced the darkness and cold that comes with being in a cave. Thankfully, their cave adventure wasn't marked by emergency like the Thai team, but was a great way to come together as a class and make the cave rescue they read about come to life.
