Have you ever wondered what it’s really like in yearbook class? Zoie Erikkson says, “I love that yearbook brings out the creative side in me. It’s a really fun class!” And I think everyone currently in yearbook would agree.

Brooke Constantine says, “I love that yearbook is such a chill class. It’s a good break from all my other classes.” We like to have tons of fun in yearbook class! We have at least 1 party every term to celebrate meeting deadlines, plus you get a lot of freedom to work at your own pace.

But this class isn’t all relaxed. We also need to get things done in order to have fun. As a member of the yearbook team, you are going to have responsibilities. You need to complete 1-2 yearbook pages and a feature story (like this one) every term. You will also need to interview fellow students and teachers, as well as take pictures of them.

One of the fun things we get to do in this class is decide on a theme for our yearbook. We will use this theme throughout the book to add personality. Creativity is also valued and used frequently in yearbook class. You can use your creative side to create beautiful spreads and pages.

Cole Herlevi says that his favorite part of yearbook is “being with my friends.” This class is especially fun when you have friends in the class with you. You get to work together on your pages and stories! Yearbook is definitely one of the most fun classes at SJHS!

“I absolutely love yearbook class! It was probably the most fun class I took this year,” says Tava Groves, a member of the yearbook class. “I’d totally take it again!”
