Mrs. Jackson

Mrs. Jackson is a math teacher that has been teaching at Springville Junior High for 19 years.   She is from Indiana, and is married with four boys.  She loves to watch sports and be outside with her kids.

Mrs. Jackson said, “Spending time with my family and teaching are two of the best ways to spend my time.”

She chose math as her major because it always came easy for her.  She really loves doing all types of math.  After doing some education classes she knew that she wanted to teach.  She knew it would be something different everyday and that seemed fun to her.

Abby Smith, seventh grade student, said, “She teaches very well and is easy to understand.”

Mrs. Jackson said, “I have two weird stories.  Once I went through three class periods before a student finally told me my pants were unzipped.  I asked the classes the next day and they all said they saw it but didn't tell me.  I was so grateful to the student who was brave enough to tell me.  The other one was just this year.  I came to school with two different shoes on.  They were both black but I was in such a hurry to get to school that I didn't pay attention.  Of course my first period noticed so I took them off and went barefoot the rest of the day.”
