At the beginning of the new school year, a new English teacher came to Springville Junior High School. Mr. Ryan Strong, the new eighth and ninth-grade English teacher said, “I love teaching at SJHS. Like seriously. Tried it, love it, crave it.”

Mr. Strong, grew up in Sandy, Utah and currently lives in Orem. He likes to read and write, and that’s why he started teaching English at SJHS. He also enjoys playing volleyball, racquetball, building legos, and spending time with his family. Mr. Strong has three kids, Josephine, age three, Atticus, age two, and Margaret, who was just born eight weeks ago.

Mr. Strong is not the average teacher, Jasmin Mendoza, a ninth grader in Mr. Strong’s class, said, “I love the sense of humor he has. He’s pro.”  Mr. Strong is not only a great English teacher, but according to Mckenzie Reidhead, he kicks butt at volley ball, and has an hilarious, sarcastic personality.

Some of the things the students like about Mr. Strong’s class, are journals, vocabulary, and reading Anne Frank.  Jazmin Mendoza said, “I love everything about his class; he’s such a good teacher. Seriously, he’s amazing he’s like the Mac’ to the Cheese.”

So good luck in SJHS to Mr. Strong, and to all the other new teachers!
