Spectacular SHS Performances During Quest Time

On March 1, Springville High School’s cheer, drill, and dance teams all came to Springville Junior High School. Many SJHS  eighth and ninth grade students went to the girls gym during Quest Time to watch the teams perform. Sarah Mitchell, a ninth grader at SJHS, said, “It was a fun performance to watch! The girls on the teams did really cool stuff.”

The cheer and drill teams started the performance with an incredible dance that they did together. After the opening number, the cheer team performed. The cheerleaders’ happy and exciting attitude pumped up the crowd. Their dance included amazing tumbling and throwing girls up into the air!

When the cheer team was done with their dance, the drill team took the stage. With their bright red costumes, they performed an upbeat dance with bright smiles on their faces.

Next was the dance team. Their dance was a modern dance that they performed excellently with grace and elegance. The dance team was the only team that had not one, but two boys in the group!

Many of the girls in attendance enjoyed watching the three groups perform and want to join at least one. According to Demmi Nava, a ninth grader at SJHS, she went to the performance to get information about the groups, and she really want to join one of them.

Tryouts for the dance team are on April 25, and the cheer team is tryout on March 25 through the 29. The drill team tryouts are on April 8 through the 11. Many SJHS girls are excited to join the teams and can’t wait to try out. Good luck girls!
