Students at SJHS Hunt for Enjoyment

Here at Springville Junior High, there are many types of students who enjoy many different things. Some of these people enjoy the thrills of hunting.

“My favorite part of hunting is being with family,” said Allan Maughan, a ninth-grader at SJHS. Hunting can bring people close together. Hunters are out in the wilderness looking for a certain animal, but a lot of it is just relaxing with their families. Hunters can discover new bonds they never knew existed and find knew things out about eachother.

Hunting can be very hard; hunters can be walking around for days over rugged mountains and thick forests. It seems that the hunters at SJHS enjoy this, and take this as a challenge. Even though it can be hard at times, the hunters at SJHS push forward.

“Hunting has been passed down for generations for me,” said Bridger Kimber, seventh-grade hunter at SJHS. Hunting, in many families, is passed down from parent to child for many generations. It is an enjoyable, well respected sport in many places on earth.

Hunters have a very wide range of animals to hunt, many of which are located in or near Utah. The hunters at SJHS, and beyond, take this as an opportunity to hunt as many animals as they can. The game ranges from small birds to massive elk, which are all hunted by the students of SJHS. There are some very talented hunters at Springville Junior High.
