Dear SJHS families:
We’re just finishing up a great College Week today. Our counselors put together great information and activities to help our students know about their post-high school opportunities. We appreciate all that our counselors and teachers do for our students each day!
Upcoming events:
- Tuesday, 1/30/24: Girls and boys basketball vs. Cedar Valley at home, 3:30pm
- Friday, 2/2/24: Girls and boys basketball at Timpview, 3:30pm
- Tuesday, 2/6/24: Current 8th graders will learn about 9th grade course options in their US History classes. Parents are invited to attend US History class with their students. (10th grade course selection for our current 9th graders will take place near the end of February.)
- Thursday, 2/8/24: Parent-teacher conference
- Teachers will be available from 3:30 to 7:30pm in the gym. Please take this opportunity to come visit with your child’s teachers to see how things are going in their classes.
- Counselors will also be available in the library at 4:00pm to give information and answer questions about 9th grade course selection for parents of current 8th graders.
- As always, we will have Spanish-speaking interpreters available to assist parents in speaking with our teachers.

Hoy estamos terminando una gran Semana Universitaria. Nuestros consejeros reunieron excelente información y actividades para ayudar a nuestros estudiantes a conocer sus oportunidades después de la escuela secundaria. ¡Apreciamos todo lo que nuestros consejeros y maestros hacen por nuestros estudiantes cada día!
Próximos Eventos:
- Martes, 30/01/24: Baloncesto femenino y masculino vs. Cedar Valley en casa, 3:30 p.m.
- Viernes, 2/2/24: Baloncesto femenino y masculino en Timpview, 3:30 p.m.
- Martes, 6/02/24: Los estudiantes actuales de 8.º grado aprenderán sobre las opciones de cursos de 9.º grado en sus clases de Historia de EE. UU. Los padres están invitados a asistir a clases de Historia de Estados Unidos con sus alumnos. (La selección de cursos de décimo grado para nuestros alumnos actuales de noveno grado se llevará a cabo cerca de finales de febrero.)
- Jueves, 8/2/24: Conferencia de padres y maestros
- Los maestros estarán disponibles de 3:30 a 7:30 p.m. en el gimnasio. Aproveche esta oportunidad para visitar a los maestros de su hijo para ver cómo van las cosas en sus clases.
- Los consejeros también estarán disponibles en la biblioteca a las 4:00 p. m. para brindar información y responder preguntas sobre la selección de cursos de noveno grado para los padres de estudiantes actuales de octavo grado.
- Como siempre, tendremos intérpretes de habla hispana disponibles para ayudar a los padres a hablar con nuestros maestros.
