The Artists of SJHS

Submitted by jennifer.dunn on

At Springville Junior High, we have many gifted people.  Some of our students are recognized by others as great artists.  Brynn Patten, a ninth grade student at SJHS, has been drawing for as long as she can remember.  “Drawing is very enjoyable,” said Brynn.  She likes to draw cartoon wolves and ponies.

Other students find that art is an excellent way to express themselves.   “Drawing helps me get all of my ideas out,” said Hannah Kallaker, another ninth grade student.  Hannah said that her favorite things to draw are cartoon animals.  Taylor Whitney, a ninth grade girl, draws manga style art.  Manga is the name for Japanese comic books.  They all draw different things in different styles but in the end,  it does not matter what you are drawing, as long as you are enjoying it to the fullest.

If you are thinking about how to improve your art or you just want to find something fun to draw, take the advice of Taylor Whitney and “practice, practice, practice!”
