Boys Tennis

Submitted by jennifer.dunn on

This year on our boys tennis team at SJHS, we have sixteen boys. There is Jake Leavitt, Zach Miller, Kevin Sumsion, Tyler Jessee, Zac Follette, Cole Monson, Ethan Bird, Benton Aegerter, Luke Gleave, McKay Carr, Kaden Jepperson, John Andelin, Andrew Hammond, Jackson Chambers, Kolby Carter, and Stone Harding.

Cole Monson, a boy on the tennis team, said, “I decided to do tennis because I love it. It’s super fun and a great sport.” The boys said practices are not too hard. They usually run drills and challenge each other.

Mr. Dahl, the boys tennis coach, said they practice every weekday unless they have a match. He has coached tennis for about four years and has played since he was ten. The team really enjoys having Mr. Dahl as a coach. “Mr. Dahl is awesome and funny. I like having him as a coach,” said Kaden Jepperson, another boy on the tennis team. S

ome of the kids on the team have lots of experience and some do not, but they all are enjoying it. The team had their first tournament on Thursday, April 3, and did great! It was against Mount Nebo and most of them won 6-0 or 8-0. They all did an amazing job.

Everyone wish the boys tennis team good luck, and come support them!
