The girls soccer team made up of mostly freshmen and sophomores had a great season this fall at Springville High School. They only had a loss of four games, according to Diana Sanchez, the team captain. “It was a pretty good season, to some end,” Diana said.

This soccer season was a great experience for the girls to get to know each other and learn to play as a team. “It’s been fun to get to know the girls. Sometimes we nag each other, but we’re really good at getting along and helping one another,” Anna Claire Smith, a player on the team, said.

Brooke Critchfield, another player on the team, said, “We trust in each other better.”

“I love being on the field and working together, being with friends, and playing with the team,” Anna Claire said. “If you’re good at something, it’s pretty fun.” Brook enjoys the fitness and general sport of soccer.

Diana said, “I enjoy the challenge that comes from it.

At the end of the season, the team spray painted the field and had a party to celebrate the season. According to Anna Claire, they got to hang out and chat while waiting for the High School Varsity team to finish their game.

Some fun events that they enjoyed were the team nights they had occasionally, where they got to be with everybody from the team, according to Alyssa Bird, a player on the team. Diana said, “Team nights were fun, we got to eat dinner, and then play hide ‘n’ seek in the dark!”
