Health Class Just Got better

Submitted by jennifer.dunn on

We just got a new health teacher, Mrs. Severson. Jared Buhler, an eighth grader in her class, said that Mrs. Severson was a pretty chill teacher about everything, and that he learned that he is a lot weaker than he thought. He learned that when they learned about exercise. Autumn States, another eighth grader in her class, said, “Mrs. Severson  is a fun, awesome, nice teacher.” Autumn said she likes Mrs. Severson’s class, and that the coolest thing she has learned is about disorders and how they affect people. Sariah Rencher, a different eighth grader from Mrs. Severson’s class, said “She has a  lot of games, and tries to make the class fun.” Mrs. Severson said that she likes SJHS so far because the staff is very welcoming and the students are full of energy. She said that she LOVES to teach health because it is her passion and she wants to share it with all the students.  Her favorite thing about teaching is seeing the way students look when they understand something, because she tries to get students to understand so much, so when they get it she gets such a good feeling. Mrs. Severson also does a lot of things outside of the school. She likes soccer and tap dance. She is even going to be in the BYU Homecoming Spectacular this year. If you look at her in class she might be wearing her jacket that says “tap dance” on it. It has the “BYU” logo too. Welcome to SJHS Mrs. Severson.
