Mr. Hammon

Mr. Hammon is one of SJHS’s most interactive teachers according to Mr. McGuire, SJHS’s principal. He teaches health in a special way. Mr. Hammon said, “I’ve been teaching for about 47 days.” 

Students and teachers around the school like his class. Katelyn Hollister, an eighth grader, said, “I like him for his taste of music.” He likes the same band she does.

Mr. Hammon’s hobbies include composing music. He plays guitar, sings and is in a band. Ishmael Mavae, an eighth grader, said, “I like that he plays guitar.” Mr. Hammon also likes the outdoors. He hikes, runs and camps. He makes and sells wood burning art. Mr. Hammon recently got married four months ago. He has a big family of seven siblings and is the second youngest.

Mr. Hammon is all new to teaching, and SJHS is a good start. He loves Springville Junior High. He said, “SJHS makes teaching even better. No school I’ve observed in or volunteered at is quite like SJHS.” 

Mr. Hammon is not boring but makes lessons fun according to Derek Diaz, an eighth grader. Estefany Quintana, an eighth grader, said, “Mr. Hammon is an awesome teacher.” 

Mr. Hammon said, “My students are awesome.” Eighth grade students would have him again because it is fun, according to Estefany Quintana. 

Mr. McGuire said, “Students have told me they love his class, and he has fun with students.”

 Mr. Hammon said, “I love coming to work everyday.” Many students and teachers say he is their favorite teacher.
