Mrs. Bales Spotlight

 At SJHS, one of our office secretaries, Mrs. Bales, has been working here for 18 years! She works very hard and has to remember every single student’s name. Mrs. Bales said she can remember nearly everyone’s names, but sometimes she mixes up siblings. We have about 945 kids here, so that is a lot of names to remember. Shayra Riches, an eighth grade student at SJHS said, “She’s really nice and very willing to help out students.” She really enjoys working here but only plans on staying no more than five more years, probably three. Ms. Bales also loves all of her office TAs.        

Mrs. Bales is happily married and has three children, all girls, and three grandkids! “I’ve been married a long dang time,” said Mrs. Bales. She has only worked at one other place before she worked here, Meadow Gold Dairy, and spent a long time there too. She worked there for thirteen years.        

There are two office secretaries here at SJHS, Mrs. Bales and Mrs. Murdock. Mrs. Murdock says they have been working together for over fifteen years and have become good friends sitting in the same office for so long. They really like working together and enjoy each other’s company. “She is a very hard worker with a great personality and funny sense of humor. She has a genuine interest in the students she works with, and is a great asset to Springville Jr. High,” said Mrs. Murdock, an office secretary at our school.        

The students at Springville Jr. High love Mrs. Bales and hope she decides to stay as long as possible. Our school would not be the same without her!
