Mrs. Carpenter!

Mrs.Carpenter is a science teacher at Springville Junior High in room seventy-seven. Mrs. Carpenter, the eighth grade science teacher, said, “This is my 22nd year of teaching.  I taught in Tulsa, Oklahoma for four years and this is my 18th year at Springville Jr.”

She does a lot of cool experiments. Kayli Remund, an eighth grader, said, “She is an amazing teacher, that doesn’t yell and is super nice.”  One of Kayli’s favorite experiment was the bubble gum experiment.

Kaden Jepperson, an eighth grader, said, “ She uses interesting props like boxes.”

Mrs.Carpenter is a mother of five kids and has seven grandkids. Her mom was a medical technologist and she thought that seemed really cool.  So when she went to college she majored in microbiology and became a medical technologist too.  She did that for several years and then decided she wanted to teach science, so she went back to school so she could be a teacher, and she loved it! “I especially love school days when I feel like students learned a new concept and figured out how it applies to real life,” said Mrs. Carpenter.

She loves to read and play the piano.  She loves to read cookbooks, but does not really like cooking that much. Mrs. Carpenter, said, “One time I was behind my table and I tripped on a drawer that was sticking out.  I fell flat on my face.  Then I heard a voice--"Mrs. Carpenter, are you okay?"  It was embarrassing, and I wasn't sure I was okay, but I reappeared and we went on.  I was really careful after that!” Mrs.Carpenter is an awesome teacher.
