Ms. Jensen is one of SJHS’s seventh grade English teachers. This is her first year at our school. She used to teach down in Cedar City. Ms. Pina, a seventh grade English teacher, said, “Ms. Jensen is awesome!”

“I chose to be a teacher because I think education is one the most important things in the world,” said Ms. Jensen. Learning is a lifelong skill, according to Ms. Jensen. She chose to teach English because reading and writing are skills that are used all the time.

Ms. Jensen’s hobbies include hiking, canoeing, kayaking, and rock climbing at her cabin in Island Park, Idaho. She also loves to cook. She said, “I’ve been known to bake cakes in the middle of the night when I can’t sleep.”

Ms. Jensen has another job she likes to do too, as a theater designer for props and sets dressing. Ms. Pina said, “Ms. Jensen knows a lot about theater which is really cool!” Ms. Jensen also loves tap dancing.

Ms. Jensen has a family of three, and she is the youngest. She has two older sisters who are married. She is not married, but loves her family and goes on vacation with them.

According to Averi Smith, a seventh grader, “Ms. Jensen is nice to everyone!” Jayden Tate, also a seventh grader, thinks Ms. Jensen is nice, funny and has fun activities. Ms. Pina thinks Ms. Jensen is a hard worker. She often stays late at school to be prepared for class the next day.

Paige Simpson, a seventh grader, said, “Ms. Jensen is joyful.”

Welcome to SJHS Ms. Jensen!
