The New SJHS

Have you seen the new school? If you have not,  you should go and take a peek at how it is progressing. The current building has been around a long while and will be missed. It has such great memories, but we can make some new ones at the new school too.

Our school principal, Mr. VanAusdal, said, “I think the students will love everything about the new school. Everything is bigger; we have two gyms that are bigger than the ones here. I just think it’s a beautiful building, and that it’s an energized environment for learning.”

Mrs. Murdock, the finance office secretary, said, “We’re very excited to move in there in June; we are also excited to have more room for students and storage.” According to Mrs. Murdock the boundaries are going to change, so it will bring about 200 more kids into our school.

Mrs. Bales, the front office secretary, is also very excited about the new school. “I think it’s awesome; I can’t wait.” Mrs. Bales thinks that the students will like how the school is more up to date, and “more modern.” Everyone also wonders what will happen to this school when we leave. According to Mrs. Murdock, the district is going to keep it. They are turning it into a Nebo School District office or something related to it. There are not  many details on it, but it will not get torn down.  Everyone is excited about the new school, but we will be sad to leave this one. The old SJHS will be missed.
