On Wednesday, February 26th ninth graders went to Springville High School to get registered for next year. Anna Claire Smith, a ninth grade girl, is getting ready for high school. Anna Claire said she wants to take “really educational classes that will make my brain smarter… and sewing. Anna Claire is considering some high school sports, like soccer and cheerleading.

Diana Sanchez, a ninth grade girl that visited the high school, says she wants to take classes in high school that will make her feel like  a “warrior”. Diana also is talking about high school sports and she wants to play soccer in high school.

There are a lot of fun classes that you can take in high school. You can take wood shop and welding.  If you love to dance  there are a lot of activities you can do. You could be in dance company, drill team or you could join cheer. There are more classes depending on what you want to do. If you like to sing you could be in the choir or a new class is the handbell choir.

Kenzie Ferran, a ninth grade girl, says she wants to take some college classes in high school. She is excited for high school because you get to leave the school for lunch. Kenzie also is planning on playing softball in high school.

Mrs. Caras, a science teacher at Springville Junior High, attended the high school day. Mrs. Caras checked kids on the bus, wandered around the school with the tour groups. Mrs. Caras said she “basically did what all the ninth graders did.” Mrs. Caras got to go because she is a ninth grade teacher only. She said it helps kids get to know more about registration and the requirements to graduate.

We hope all the ninth graders have a good time at high school next year!.
