A Picture Worth a Thousand Words

FLASH!! That’s the noise of photographers taking pictures of snowfall and insects. They have told stories with pictures and taking well lit photos. After taking pictures student edit them to make them even better; they crop and brighten or darken them.

The photographers have all joined because they enjoy taking pictures.  Erin Caswell, an ninth grader, who loves Photography and enjoys taking pictures of the white fluffy snow said she joined because she “wanted to improve [her] picture taking.”

“We have taken photos of food and learned the art of making food look good using design and elements and principles of art. We have also done an assignment on landscape photography at different angles, as well as how to take pictures in the snow,” said Ms. Wallace, the art and photography teacher. “All photos are cropped, and levels are adjusted and printed. We learn how to take good photos, use lighting and contrast, how to use slow and quick shutter speeds as in our blur/freeze assignment.”

The photography class had a bunch of pictures on view at the art show on Wednesday, December 11th.
