Reading for Enjoyment at Springville Junior High

Submitted by tiffanie.miley on

All of us at Springville Junior High School have individual interests. Some like music, art, singing, even exercise. There are electives for those listed, but there is a specific elective for those individuals who like to read. Reading for Enjoyment is the name of the elective. Ms. Tiffanie Miley teaches the Reading for Enjoyment class every 5th period. Reading for Enjoyment is a class for those who are avid readers. Every day there are book talks, reading, and writing of a short journal. Kids can share the books they are reading with those in the class, and their friends can do the same to them. The students also have the option to read whatever book they would like to.

According to Garrett Huffaker, seventh grader at Springville Junior High School, it gave him more opportunities to think about what he is reading. He is quite the reader himself, so he reads all that he can.
