On Thursday, September 7th we had our first dance. It was here at the school! We have the dances to let the kids have more fun at school, because we all have those days where we need a break, and the dances are those days! A seventh grader, named Tanii Foster, has only gone to one dance. She said, “I think they are super fun. My favorite part is the music they play and how everyone jumps and dances!” Kaylee Marshall, an eighth grader, said, “They have good music and it’s fun to dance, but they need to give us punch!” An eighth grader, Jaxon Hartvigsen, said, “They are fun but the music isn't the music I like and I wished more people could go to the dances. My favorite part of the dances are just hanging out with my friends and dancing.”The dances are held in the boys gym, at the school. We usually have dances on Thursdays, and for a special occasion, such as Welcome to Jr. High, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, and the End of the Year. Most of the kids attend the dances because of the music and their friends.If you have questions about the dances, like if you're new, don’t be afraid to ask some of the kids around the school!Some people like dances, and some don’t, but in general most people like them.
