Setting the Stage with Karaoke

Submitted by tiffanie.miley on

Every Friday during Quest Time, students at Springville Junior High let loose and sing karaoke. This enrichment activity is held at Ms. Neeley’s classroom, #58. Karaoke is singing along to a machine that plays music. Carlie Maughan, an eighth-grade student, said, “Karaoke is where you sing along to awesome songs!”

Students have many different options to choose from when it comes to picking the song. Some popular artists and song choices are Adele, Taylor Swift, and other various Disney songs. Ms. Neeley said, “Students can come and sing solos, sing along with the group, or just watch other students sing.” According to Braden Parker, a seventh-grade boy, he has taken the mic and sang “Call Me Maybe” with a big group of friends.  Aleah Morris, a seventh-grade girl, said, “I like karaoke because you get to be with your friends singing loud!”

According to various students at SJHS, karaoke is a fun way to express yourself and a great way to have fun! Students have a great time with this fun enrichment.
