Seventh Graders

Hundreds of children within the Nebo School District have recently evolved past elementary school and proceeded into the seventh grade, and accompanying them were a plethora of fears, excitements, and several other complicated attitudes. Although this transition can be challenging to maneuver through, the outcome justifies all possible trials. These seventh graders have only been familiar with the minor difficulties of elementary school; they are now forced into a world of both full of hardships and opportunities.

One of the many problems a seventh grader can encounter is the foreign nature of a locker. The vast majority of seventh graders have never been required to use one, and are often intimidated by it. Or perhaps they will be frightened by the realization and epiphany that grades begin to hold importance this year. Confronting these problems takes time to grow accustomed to, however seventh graders can overcome them.

Seventh graders also welcome many options and possibilities that they had not had previously, such as after school activities, or elective classes. These new students can now undergo numerous experiences.

Benson Bird and Jake Jackson, seventh graders at SJHS,  expressed their excitement towards the new school by saying things such as, “The teachers are all really nice,” and, “The hallways are clean.”

The journey to come for seventh graders may be a treacherous one, however with the correct amount of ambition, motivation and determination the outcome can be a successful one. As long as the seventh graders apply the correct work ethic and do not lose their positive attitude they will be able to continue the road towards success.
