SJHS; Talent Show

Submitted by tara.pina on

Here at Springville Junior High, we have a yearly talent show, where students show us their talents. Varying from magic, to music, the acts the students put on enchant our student body, and it’s often called their favorite assembly of the year. This article will be spotlighting everything about the talent show, from the auditions, to the talent show we had this Friday.

This year Mr. Hammon put on the talent show for his first time this year, saying “I’m not really sure. One minute I wasn’t doing the talent show, the next minute I was. It was kind of weird.”  On the 16th of November around 30 students tried out for the talent show. Emelia Randolph said, “The audition was pretty scary,” She  went on to say, “I think everyone did great, and although it was scary I felt pretty good about it.” Mr Hammon told us everyone who tried out did a great job, whether they made it or not.

This Thursday December 1st, there was an evening performance of the talent show for family and friends. The group of students that performed were, Carson Poole, Tiare Cromar, Jasmine Salinas, Lillian Savage, Mia Roberts, Lizzie Southern, Chelsie Nielson, Hannah Mason, Jeremy Reynolds, Jaren Push, Janelle Mammen, Eliza Whiting, Scout Benson, and those who performed in the assembly. Presley Kennard, 9th grader and friend of performer, said, “It was really cool seeing the performance before the rest of the school did.”

Finally, on Friday December 2nd, the talent show was performed in an assembly during school. The group of students that performed were, Raquel Marquez, Christine White, Jane Wilson, Alyssa Badger, Meagen Jones, Emma Rich, Emelia Randolph, Caitlyn Buhler, The Dragon Fighting Slayers, Kimberly Bartholemew, Kennedy Bird, Kinley Walker, Rylee Andreason, and Sydney Averet. Both of the performances were wonderful. Thanks for being so talented SJHS, and great job at the talent show for all those who made it!
