At Springville Junior High School, Mr. Ken Van Ausdal is the principal. Mr. Van Ausdal came to be the principal at our school last year and has been an administrator for 15 years. He’s previously been the assistant principal at Eastmont Middle School, West Hills Middle School, Butler Elementary School, and the principal at Salem Elementary School. According to Mr. Van Ausdal, being a principal is challenging, but, at the end of the day it is rewarding. He said, “It’s exceptionally rewarding to see you’ve helped a student.”
According to Mrs. Bales, the attendance secretary at SJHS, he is honest, straight-forward, and a hard worker. Mr. Mikesell, an assistant principal at SJHS, said, “ He really cares about the students and teachers, and is willing to do whatever it takes to make Springville Junior High to the best school in the state. He is open and willing to handle tough situations as they come up.”
Mr. Van Ausdal is a great principal, and he strives to make the best of the students, and of the school.
