Mrs. Anderson and Mr. Krebs 311.29 KB

Out of all of the teachers Springville Junior High, there are two teachers who have served the longest who still work here today. Those two teachers are Mr. Krebs, who teaches math, and Mrs. Anderson, who teaches girls’ PE. Mr. Krebs said, “I started teaching at SJHS in 1984 and this year will be my 29th year here at SJHS.”  Also, Mrs. Anderson, said, “Twenty nine of my 30 years teaching have been right here at SJHS.” This goes to show how much both of these teachers love their jobs.

Mrs. Anderson said that her favorite thing about teaching is “when students have been struggling with a skill and they finally get it! I love to see them succeed with something they have been working on. It’s the best when a student makes a nice play or shot and they look at me and I can give them a thumbs up.” Mr. Krebs said that “the students are my favorite thing. I really like getting to know the students and helping them understand math. It is satisfying for me when I see students working and understanding math concepts.” As you can see these teachers have a great connection with their students, and the students at SJHS also love them back.

Anna Gurney, a ninth grader at SJHS in Mrs. Anderson’s girls PE class, said, “She’s really nice and funny and wants the best for us.” One of Mr. Krebs’s students, Steven Bartholomew said, “He teaches me how to do math problems I’ve never seen before. I think he is very nice, and he is awesome.”

SJHS wants to give a special thanks to Mr. Krebs’s and Mrs. Anderson’s great contribution to the school and to their many years of service and hard work.
