The works of art that come out of the classroom are fantastic the critics are saying, magnificent and inspiring. What are these art kids doing in art? How about we go find out!

Melanie Lee, a seventh grader, said that she took art because her dad is a artist. “I love drawing animals, but I can't draw people!” she said. She says that art is just a hobby but a fun one!

Anaya Keil, and ninth grader, she says that she took art because she had done art every year than this and she wanted to keep going. She likes to draw people;  she wants to be a interior designer.

Brayden Zubia, a ninth grader, said he likes taking art because it helps him prepare to be a fashion designer which is what he wants to be when he grows up. He says his favorite thing about art is free drawing.

Sakari Duvall, an eighth grader, says that her favorite thing to draw is basic shape drawing. She says she wants to be a photographer.  She wants to learn to draw better and that is why she is taking art. Her favorite kind of art is photography.

Right now in Art 1 they are working on perspective pieces. They will write their name and make it look like it's popping out at you.

Let's get a little more on Ms. Elison. Her inspiration to become an art teacher was her seventh grade art teacher. Her favorite type of art is paint and photography. Ms Elison said that her favorite activity that they do in art is mandalas and form sculptures. (Pictures above) She loves to teach/do art because she wants to help her students be better plus she says it helps with stress. She says that the most rewarding part of being an art teacher is, “Watching the students attitudes change toward art.”

So thats art! If you want to see more of their work it's usually in the hallways!
