Upcoming Events at SJHS

No one likes a boring school year right?  Well here at SJHS there are some really fun events that will be taking place this year!   There is Red Ribbon Week that starts on October 7th, where everyone in the school can wear wacky stuff to school and also learn how to be safe around fires and earthquakes.  Then there is Lagoon Day where all the students that have kept up their grades and made up their tardies, can go to Lagoon for a whole school day!   There are also the Super Knight assemblies, No Tardy parties, Gender Wars, the Wheel Spin during lunch that is run by the counselors, and school sports such as track and cross country meets, tennis, and golf.  The 4-H Clubs will be starting soon too.

According to Erika Crystal, a ninth grader at SJHS, she is looking forward to the school dances this year. The student council also has some fun things planned for the year, including the Christmas dance that will be before the break.   “I think the student body always enjoys school dances, the No Tardy Party and also the Wheel Spin for prizes.  Students should remember to ask their teachers to stamp their day planners as well as come to the attendance office for attendance stamps.  We have lots of cool prizes to win,” said Mrs. Bales, the attendance secretary at SJHS.  So get to your classes, keep up your grades, and then you can come to all these fun activities.

Anyone can go to the school website and check out the public calendar to see a yearly overview of some things planned for the year.
