Valentine’s Day and Valegrams at SJHS

Do you like Valentine’s Day?  Well  SJHS students enjoyed Valentine’s Day and had their fun! Students received Valengrams in their fourth period class. Valegrams are little candies or a flower that have a small note attached. Students buy their friends a Valegram, and sign their name if they want to. They can also write something cute or something nice . They were sold at lunch for one dollar.

But did students like Valentine’s Day? Alejandro Ayala, an eighth grade student at SJHS, said he indeed liked it, and that “it’s fun.”

Some students decided instead of getting a Valegram for a friend or their Valentine they would just take them out and have fun. Jose Ayala, a ninth grade student at SJHS, said, “Me, my friends, and my Valentine went to the mall to watch a romantic movie, and eat Panda Express.”

Diana Arellano, also a ninth grade student at SJHS, said, “ I went to Mc D’s with my friends, and after we went to watch a movie.”

Derek Hutchings, an eighth grade student, said his favorite part of Valentine’s Day was that he got candy, and “I got to hang out with the Valentine I don’t have.”  Jose Ayala, also said that what he thought was special about Valentine’s Day was that you get to tell people how much you care about them.

Hope you had a great Valentine’s Day.
