Dear SJHS parents and guardians:
We are nearing the end of end-of-level state testing. The math section is our last test for 7th and 8th graders, and they will complete that test at the beginning of the week. Both of our 9th grade dual language immersion classes will be taking the AP test this week as well. We wish all of our students luck as they finish strong! We will spend some time at the end of this week and throughout next week taking care of make-ups for students who may have been absent or just needed a little more time. Calendar items for this week:
Monday, May 10:
- First day of 7th and 8th grade RISE testing in math classes
- JV tennis district tournament at Springville High School
- RISE testing for 7th and 8th grade remote learners from 8:30 - 10:30 in the cafeteria (Please look for an email from Jentry Youd, Dean of Students, sent a couple weeks ago for additional details. If you have questions, please email him at jentry.youd [at] nebo.edu.)
Tuesday, May 11:

Other announcements:
- We are finalizing our end-of-year plans (yearbooks, awards, etc.), and I will email the details out next week. Unfortunately, none of the junior high schools in Nebo will be able to attend Lagoon this year. We are sad to miss out on that end-of-year tradition! Thankfully, we have already scheduled buses for May of 2022.
- Rather than waiting until this summer for online registration for the 2021-22 school year, parents can complete the annual online registration process now. Please visit http://sjhs.nebo.edu/registration to review the information for next year. It should only take a few minutes to complete.
- If there are any 9th grade students who did not pass a core class required for graduation and need to complete credit recovery over the summer, information can be found at https://www.sjhscounseling.com/summer-school.html.
- From our PTA: SJHS PTA needs a few more friends. We try to do a variety of things throughout the year to help make the school better for both students and faculty. If you have very little time, we have several small, one-time-only jobs available—if you have more time, we have bigger ones too. Please join us, our meetings are brief, our activities varied, and our school needs your help. Thanks and Go Knights! Estimados padres y tutores de SJHS:
Nos estamos acercando al final de las pruebas estatales de fin de nivel. La sección de matemáticas es nuestra última prueba para los alumnos de º y 8º grado, y la completarán al comienzo de la semana.
